Ludwig has announced the addition of Vinnie Colaiuta to its family of drum and hardware endorsers. This comes at about the same time as Colaiuta’s switch to Paiste cymbals. Vinnie will be taking his new Legacy and Classic Maple kits on tour this summer with Sting. He’ll also be performing select dates with Herbie Hancock and continuing his copious session work in L.A.
Both kits feature a Black Galaxy finish and Mini-Classic lugs; sizes include a 14×22 bass drum (with Elite spurs and a double tom mount), 7×10 and 8×12 toms (with Keystone brackets and no Vibraband suspension rims), and 14×14 and 16×16 floor toms (with Keystone brackets). Vinnie will also be using 5×14 Supraphonic and Hammered Brass snare drums.
